Qatar, UN sign pact on establishing UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs

 

The United Nations and the State of Qatar have signed the first supplementary agreement for the agreement between Qatar and the United Nations regarding the establishment of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) in the State of Qatar.

The agreement was signed by Director of Department of International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikha Hanouf bint Abdulrahman Al Thani.

On the UN side, the agreement was signed by Representative of the UNOCHA in the State of Qatar Dr Ahmed Marii. This partnership comes within the framework of Qatar’s efforts and its close cooperation with the UN in the field of humanitarian aid.
