Amir and Slovenian president hold talks in Ljubljana

His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of Slovenia Borut Pahor held official talks at the presidential palace in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana on Monday morning
The talks dealt with bilateral cooperation and ways to develop them in various political, investment, economic, cultural and tourism fields. The meeting also dealt with exchanging views on a number of regional and international issues of joint interest. HH the Amir and the Slovenian President had held a meeting prior to the official talks session, during which they reviewed the prospects for Qatari-Slovenian cooperation and ways to enhance it, in addition to discussing a number of issues of joint interest.
After that, HH the Amir and the President witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Qatar Holding and Spirit Agency to encourage entrepreneurship, foreign investments and technology in Slovenia.
The talks session was attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al-Thani. On the Slovenian side, the session was attended by HE Minister of Infrastructure Jernej Vrtovec, HE Minister of the Environment and Spatial Planning Andrej Vizjak, HE State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Stanislav Rascan, HE Chief of Staff of the Office of the President Dr. Alja Brglez.
