The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of Singapore Halimah Yacob held an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday. At the outset of the session, HH the Amir welcomed the Singaporean president and her accompanying delegation, wishing them a good stay and looking forward to the visit to contribute to cementing bilateral relations to achieve the aspirations and interests of the two peoples. The president of Singapore thanked HH the Amir for the warm welcome and reception, expressing her hope that the visit can enhance bilateral cooperation to broader horizons in different spheres. On the Singaporean side, the talk session was attended by Minister at Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Education and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Mohamad Maliki bin Osman, the Minister of State at the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth Low Yen Ling, a number of senior officials and members of the official delegation. HH the Amir and the Singaporean president then witnessed the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between the two countries’ governments.
