Amir, Slovenian president open Islamic Center in Ljubljana

His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor inaugurated the Islamic Center in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana on Monday.
Upon HH the Amir and the Slovenian president’s arrival at the centre, HH the Amir was received by President of the Islamic Community in the Republic of Slovenia the Mufti Nevzet Poric.
HH the Amir and the Slovenian president unveiled the Friendship Chair, which includes a metal plate bearing the name of HH the Amir and the name of the Slovenian president, in the centre’s garden.
After that, HH the Amir toured the mosque, the cultural building, the library and the educational departments within the centre, which aims to contribute to the consolidation of the tolerant values of Islam among the Muslims of Slovenia, in addition to playing a role in spreading tolerance and moderation among all its attendees.
