His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Monday visited the Web Summit Qatar 2024, currently being held in the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

HH the Amir toured the pavilions of a number of major international tech companies, and was briefed on the latest developments in the field of innovation, digital initiatives and software.

HH the Amir also listened to an explanation about the advanced digital and technological solutions of a number of major companies, participating institutions and emerging initiatives, in addition to the investment promotion initiative “Start from Qatar”, which was designed to support the growth of the startup ecosystem in Qatar.

HH the Amir expressed his happiness with the participation of major technology institutions in the Web Summit Qatar 2024.

In a post on his official X account, HH the Amir said, “I was pleased with what I saw at the Web Summit Qatar 2024 in terms of the participation of major technology institutions, and the innovative digital solutions they are offering. I hope that hosting the summit’s regional edition will serve as a platform for governments and the private sector to keep up with the accelerating development of the technology sector globally.”

HH the Amir was accompanied, during the visit, by President of the Republic of Kosovo HE Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and a number of sheikhs and senior officials.
