National Cyber Security Agency honours participants in cyber manoeuvre

The National Cyber Security Agency on Monday honoured the participating entities in the national cyber manoeuvre 2023, in the presence of several ministers and dignitaries.

During the ceremony, President of the National Cyber Security Agency Eng Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Farhadi Al Maliki honoured some 30 governmental institutions and authorities in the country that achieved the highest ratings among the participating sectors in the 10th edition of the event held last November. All other participating entities were also recognised.

This recognition comes within the framework of the agency’s encouragement for all governmental institutions and authorities to enhance their readiness and develop mechanisms to deal with breaches, as well as supporting the enhancement of cyber capabilities from three aspects: human, technological, and operational.

In his opening speech, Director of Empowerment and Cyber Excellence Affairs at the agency Khalid Al Hashimi said that the national cyber manoeuvres began as a pioneering initiative in 2013, highlighting the participation of many governmental and non-governmental entities from all vital sectors in the country during the 10th edition held in November 2023.

He stressed that the National Cyber Security Agency will spare no effort in developing cyber capabilities within entities and continuously works to support and enhance the capabilities of all governmental institutions and vital sectors in the country to ensure their readiness at the highest level.
