Qatar has condemnedand denouncedin the strongest terms the attempt to assassinatePrime Minister of the Slovak Republic HE Robert Fico, considering it an unacceptable criminal act, and expressed its wishes for a speedy recovery for him.

In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the necessity of pursuing those involved in this heinous crime and bringing them to justice. It also reaffirmed Qatar’s steadfast position on rejecting violence, terrorism and criminal acts, including political assassinations, regardless of the motives and reasons.

The Ministry expressed Qatar’s solidarity with the Government of Slovakia in preserving security and stability.
