Qatari aid plane arrives in Sudan as part of air bridge

A plane belonging to the Qatari Armed Forces arrived at Port Sudan Airport in the Republic of Sudan, carrying an additional aid shipment to Sudan, in completion of the air bridge operated by Qatar to relieve the Sudanese people as a result of the humanitarian crisis and the difficult conditions they are currently living in due to the continued fighting.

The aid was accompanied by Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater.

Shewas received at the airport by Minister of Health of the Republic of Sudan Dr Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim, Governor of the Red Sea StateMustafa Muhammad Nour, Ambassador of Qatar to Sudan HEMuhammad bin Ibrahim Al Sada, and several ambassadors to Sudan and officials of international and Sudanese humanitarian organisations operating in Sudan.

Qatar began this air bridge last year, under the directives of His Highness the Amir, to deliver humanitarian support and evacuate fellow Sudanese residents to Qatar.
