The importance of harnessing human potential to solve global challenges has been emphasised at the second regional event that took place under TEDinArabic — the global Arabic language initiative established by Qatar Foundation and TED — held in the Jordanian capital of Amman. Attended by Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation, the event was held under the patronage of HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II, and attended on his behalf by Ahmad Hanandeh, Jordan’s Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. The event, and the TEDinArabic initiative, reflect Qatar Foundation’s efforts to preserve, promote, and celebrate the richness of the Arabic language, and its commitment to providing platforms that allow people from all walks of life to share knowledge, perspectives, and ideas.
