President of the Republic of Singapore Tharman Shanmugaratnam met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah on the sidelines of his participation in the Shangri-La Dialogue organised by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS).

Talks during the meeting dealt with topics of mutual interest between the two sides and the latest developments in the region, particularly the Israeli war on Gaza. They highlighted Qatar’s role in mediation efforts and its commitment to achieving a ceasefire and ending the war on Gaza.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Qatar to Singapore HE Saoud bin Jassim Al Jufairi, along with several senior officials from both sides.
